The Catholic community in Kikuube District has challenged Kikuube District LG staff to embrace reconciliation and teamwork in the execution of their duties.
The call was made today by Rev Father Musinguzi John Bosco AMooti alongside Rev Deacon Ellias Kasaija Ateenyi while presiding over a holy mass during monthly prayers organised at the district headquarters.
Dn Ellias aborn of Kanyegaramire village in Munteme Catholic parish will be ordained a priest on 2nd September 2023 at Hoima Catholic headquarters and later host a thanks giving ceremony on 3rd September 2023 at his ancestral home in kanyegaramire, Kiziranfumbi sub county.
A total of 2,900,000 ush support towards Deacon’s ordination was realised, 500,000 ush being cash.
Kikuube District Local government also made a humble pledge of 500,000 ush, the District chairperson Hon Banura Peter pledged 200,000 ush among others.
Mr Rulihoona Anacklet, The Chairperson district service Commission and who also serves as the organising committee for the thanks giving, commended the technical and political staff for the good gesture.
A mobilisation committee was also instituted and tasked to mobilize both material and financial resources from the staff.
